Come to this poolside chat to hear from folks with master’s degrees in linguistics talk about their decision process to and through grad school, and why they ultimately decided not to get a PhD. We’ll start the session off with a short discussion among the presenters. We’ll then break out in to smaller groups to discuss pros and cons of grad school, and to work on a rubric to help guide the decision making process. We’re aiming for an open and honest discussion about the REAL cost (time, money, opportunity, and relationships) of the different decisions available to you.
